From the start of your STEM journey to your entrance into your career, Heritage University’s SAGE Program is here for you!

As part of the SAGE Program, you will have access to:

  • Specialized Tutoring Opportunities Exclusively for SAGE Students

  • Wrap-around Academic Advising and Career Exploration

  • Information about STEM Related Job and Internship Placement Opportunities

  • Workshops and Individualized Support for Resume Writing, Job Application, and Undergraduate Research Application Preparation

  • Mentoring by Yakima Valley community members with STEM degrees and graduate students from Washington State University.

  • Paid undergraduate research opportunities.

  • Workshops and Individualized Support for Graduate School Admissions and Financial Aid Process

Eligibility:

In order to qualify for the SAGE Program, you must:

  • Be enrolled at Heritage University

  • Have declared a STEM major or intend to declare a STEM major including: Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Computer Science, etc.

Expectations:

To participate in the SAGE Program, these are required:

  • Consistent communication with SAGE Program staff and faculty about academic progress

  • Attend SAGE Cohort Meetings

  • Participate in academic support opportunities (tutoring, workshops, seminars, mentoring, and field trips)

  • Complete one or more graduate school or job applications prior to graduation
